Celebrating our Team
Celebrating our Team
March is Transit Employee Appreciation Month in the Bay Area. National Transit Employee Appreciation Day is celebrated on March 18th. Tri Delta Transit celebrates all week, with special activities on Thursday, March 19th. Tri Delta Transit has been serving eastern Contra Costa County for nearly 50 years (since 1977). We have maintained service with very few changes, even during the pandemic when we maintained service for all the essential personnel so that they may get to the critical jobs they do.
During this week, and especially on the 19th, Tri Delta Transit recognizes and honors our employees from Accounting to Planning, Marketing, Reservationists, Customer Service, Operators, Safety, Dispatch, Mechanics, and more. Each and every person keeps the agency running for our residents, riders and visitors.
On this page, you’ll see previews of some of our employees, recognition awards given out, and more.
We hope that you will take a moment to write comments@eccta.org to thank Tri Delta Transit employee(s) for their dedication to transportation and for all that they do in service of our riders!

GET TO KNOW SOME OF OUR TRANSIT STAFF –
Our employees are dedicated and hardworking, often choosing to stay out of the spotlight. They know their work matters and play an essential role in our community. We wanted you, our riders, to get to know a few of them better. Whether behind the wheel or behind the scenes, every one of them makes a difference.

NATIONAL TRANSIT EMPLOYEE APPRECIATION DAY
Transit Employee Appreciation Day, celebrated annually on March 18th, is a national event recognizing the hard work of bus operators, mechanics, station agents and transit staff who keep public transportation running. Initiated in 2009 by Seattle commuters, this day encourages thanking workers who ensure safe, reliable commutes.
In the Bay Area, we know it takes every person in our organization to keep public transportation running, so in our area it’s officially Transit Employee Appreciation Day.
Tri Delta Transit thanks all of our sister agencies (County Connection, LAVTA and Wheels) as well as all Bay Area transit for all they do to ensure the public can get to jobs, important critical services like healthcare and more.
