As an essential service, Tri Delta Transit knows how important other essential services are. Here are some resources that may be of use with the SNAP program.

Food programs in eastern Contra Costa County include pantries and meal programs like Loaves & Fishes and the Antioch Ministerial Fellowship Food Closet, plus produce programs such as the Community Produce Program at St. Ignatius and Templo Santo Community Church. For county-wide assistance, contact the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano at  or dial 211.

Food pantries and meal programs 

• Loaves & Fishes of Contra Costa (Antioch): Offers a hot noon meal in a dining room setting.
• Antioch Ministerial Fellowship (AMF) Food Closet: Provides an emergency food pantry for those in need.
• Genesis Church: Offers a food pantry.
• Grace Temple COGIC: Has a food pantry and serves weekly meals to seniors or disabled adults.
• Mission Possible Community Development Center of Antioch, Inc.: Provides pre-packed food boxes of non-perishable food and also gives away clothing.
• Showers of Blessings Ministries: Operates a food pantry.
• St. Vincent de Paul of Contra Costa County: Maintains food pantries, with one located in Pittsburg. 

Produce programs 

• Community Produce Program – St. Ignatius Church: Distributes fresh produce to qualifying households.
• Community Produce Program – The Landing Place: Offers 15-20 pounds of fresh produce two times per month to qualifying households.
• Community Produce Program – Templo Santo Community Church: Provides 15-20 pounds of fresh produce two times per month to qualifying households. 

Other resources 

• CalFresh: You can apply for food benefits through the Contra Costa County Employment & Human Services (EHSD) office.
• Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano: Provides various food programs and can help with CalFresh applications.
• 211 Helpline: Dialing 211 can provide information and referrals to local food and other assistance programs.
• School Meals: California schools are required to provide free breakfast and lunch to all students in grades TK-12, regardless of income.
