It’s all aboard for Transit Month this September!

Bay Area Transit Month is an annual celebration held every September to highlight public transportation, operators, and riders across the San Francisco Bay Area. Organized by groups like San Francisco Transit Riders, Seemless Bay Area, and the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC), the month features regional events, community ride-alongs, and a month-long ride contest.
Key Events & Activities
- All Aboard Bay Area Transit Day: A specific focal day, September 15th, where agencies hand out free stickers, swag, and collect rider feedback.
- All Aboard with Transit CEOs: Special public ride-along with transit CEOs and a social meetups, allowing riders to chat directly with regional transit leadership.
- Transit Month Ride Contest: A gamified challenge where participants log their public transit trips via an app to earn badges, build community, and enter raffles for transit-themed prizes. Tri Delta Transit can’t wait to see who wins for eastern Contra Costa County.
- Local Agency Activities: Bay Area systems host localized tours and rider appreciation events.
As our All Aboard prize, Tri Delta Transit is giving out a Market Swag Bag with everything in it that you need to travel to and from our local markets –
- Antioch Farmers Market – Sundays May to October 9:00 am – 1:00 pm, Downtown Antioch
- Antioch Kaiser Permanente Market – April to October, Thursdays. 9:30 am – 1:30 pm
- Brentwood Farmers Market – Saturdays Year Round from 8 am – Noon, Downtown Brentwood
- The Makers Boulevard, Community Market – Brentwood, third Saturday with the Brentwood Farmers Market.
- The Makers Boulevard, Community Market – Oakley across from City Park, fourth Sunday of the month.
Be ready as you may see staff on the buses as they thank you for riding Tri Delta Transit.
