Transfer Slips/Transferring Buses

Transfer slips are no longer issued on Tri Delta Transit fixed route buses. YOU CAN STILL TRANSFER BETWEEN TRI DELTA TRANSIT FIXED ROUTE BUSES. To do so you must have a valid Day Pass, a valid 31-Day Pass, a valid Clipper Card, or pay an additional single ride fare.

If you need to transfer between Tri Delta Transit fixed route buses or if you will be making a round-trip, your best option is to purchase a Day Pass. If you ride frequently, consider purchasing a 31-Day Pass or an East Bay Regional 31-Day Pass (available on Clipper Card) for even greater discounts.

To purchase a Day Pass on the fixed route bus, just ask the driver for a Day Pass when you go to pay your fare – then pay the cost of the Day Pass. Exact fare is not required but advised; drivers will issue a credit ticket for the remaining balance upon request. There are no cash refunds, exchanges, or change provided.

A Day Pass is valid for the day of purchase/validation only. Just swipe your validated Day Pass in the fixed route farebox each time you board a Tri Delta Transit fixed route bus and you can ride as many fixed route buses as much as you want for the day the pass is valid.

Day Passes and 31-Day Passes are not valid on paratransit buses or Tri MyRide.

Transferring when using a Clipper Card

** Bus-to-bus transfers are only available when using Clipper. One free transfer is automatically applied within 2 hours of initial boarding.

BART-to-bus transfer discounts are only available when using Clipper. BART transfer fares will be recognized and deducted accordingly ($1.00 for adult riders and $0.50 for Clipper START/youth/senior/RTC riders) from the card’s stored cash value, or no deduction for 31-Day Pass users.

Transfers from other transit operators

County Connection accepts transfers as full fare payment at designated bus stops which are served by neighboring transit systems, and include WestCAT, SolTrans, FAST, and Capital Corridor trains in Martinez. Free transfers from Tri Delta Transit and Wheels are only available using Clipper. ACE train passengers can ride Route 92X free with pre-purchased ACE train tickets.
