January Schedule Student Cover Art Contest

Thank you for your interest in Tri Delta Transit’s STUDENT COVER ART CONTEST for the January 11, 2026 schedule,

Tri Delta Transit is the public transit system for eastern Contra Costa County and has been so for nearly 50 years.

We are more than just transportation – we are about community.

So for this special year – our 50th Anniversary, Tri Delta Transit (TDT) would like to include our community in an art contest to create the cover art for our next printed schedule.

The theme to create your artwork around is:

TRI DELTA TRANSIT IN YOUR COMMUNITY

A First Place winner will be chosen by a select panel of Tri Delta Transit staff. Should there be a close decision, one will be picked as the First Place winner for the cover and then the close runner up will be the Second Place winner and appear on the back panel of the schedule.

PLEASE BE ADVISED – if participating:

ARTWORK WILL NOT BE RETURNED TO APPLICANT. Should you want to keep your artwork, then there are guidelines for submitting photos or PDFs in this packet.

Here’s how it works:

Who is Eligible to Participate

  • Students who attend an Elementary School (2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th grades), Middle School (6th, 7th, and 8th grades), High School (9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grades), or a Community College within the Tri Delta Transit service area (Antioch, Bay Point, Brentwood, Oakley, and Pittsburg).
  • All artists who submit art need to fill out and sign the Application and the Waiver and Release Form. College students must show proof of current year enrollment.
  • Tri Delta Transit or Transdev staff are not eligible to win.
  • Family of staff can enter.

  • Artwork must not contain any materials that infringe on a copyright, trademark or service mark.

Mediums:

Tips:

  • Don’t put important elements right along the borders as they may be cut off. Cover art is a bleed, but schedules are folded which may cut off borders.

Your design will go right to the edge when printed.

  • Artwork can be done in any media and in color or black & white. Be aware that some mediums will work better for this project than others. Artwork must be able to be photographed well and converted into a PDF for press printing.*
  • NO AI artwork. DO NOT plagiarize art.
