New Transfer Policy And Passes
Transfer Slips/Transferring Buses
Transfer slips are no longer issued on Tri Delta Transit buses. YOU CAN STILL TRANSFER BETWEEN TRI DELTA TRANSIT BUSES. To do so you must have a valid Day Pass, a valid Monthly Pass or pay an additional single ride fare. See complete Transfer Policy.
If you need to transfer between Tri Delta Transit buses or if you will be making a round-trip, your best option is to purchase a Day Pass. If you ride frequently, consider purchasing a Monthly Pass for an even greater discount.
To purchase a Day Pass on the bus, just ask the driver for a Day Pass when you pay your fare. Exact fare is required; drivers cannot make change.
Once you have a Day Pass, you do not have to pay to ride the bus for the remainder of the day. Just show your validated Day Pass to the bus driver each time you board a Tri Delta Transit bus and you can ride as many buses as much as you want.
Day Passes and Fixed Route Monthly Passes are not valid on Delta Express or Dial-a-Ride.
Transferring to/from County Connection (or other agency) buses
New Inter-Agency Transfer Slips
You can still transfer to a County Connection bus for free at shared bus stops. Just ask the driver for an Inter-Agency Transfer slip. These are the only kind of transfer slips Tri Delta Transit drivers carry. They will allow you to transfer to neighboring transit agency buses at shared bus stops only. They will not allow you to transfer to another Tri Delta Transit bus. To transfer from another agency’s bus to a Tri Delta Transit bus at a shared bus stop, just get a transfer slip from the other agency’s bus driver... same as always.
